El Jadida

This seaside city, the former Mazagan, which the French Lyautey considered like “The Deauville of Morocco,” is fascinating with its ramparts and Portuguese cistern. El Jadida, twinned with the Mediterranean French city of Sète, is also an industrial city. Several important factories have been established there and the industrial harbor of Jorf Lasfar gives the town a new dimension. The sea resort is appreciated by Moroccans : it has a golf course, an equestrian park, hotels and beautiful beaches.

NOT TO BE MISSED

The invigorating fragrance of pine and eucalyptus carried on the sea air… A falcon flying over the bunker on hale number 8 to slip away into the blue of the sky… At the 12th, the still waters of a lake mirror the clouds… On the 14th, magnificent araucarias, standing like rows of strange vegetable sculptures along the fairway… On the 17th, you can contemplate the shimmering white town of El Jadida… On number 18, the unspoiled beaches and dunes flowering with tamarisk and mimosa… Wherever the golfer may be on the Royal El Jadida course, Cabell B. Robinson has ensured that he will be surrounded by stunning natural beauty.

THE OUALIDIA OYSTERS

They are so delicious that they alone would be reason enough to make a trip to Oualidia… to be followed by an after-dinner stroll along the delightful curve of the beach, protected from the open sea by a series of small islands. And then, once back in Casablanca, you can always taste them again in the seafood restaurants on the corniche or strung out along the port.
